What happends if you put a gardner snake in with a Python snake?

i have a pet python. He is totally friendly, i play with him all the time when i'm drunk...Today when i was outside i saw a Gardner Snake , so i captured it and threw him in with the Python. The python is 3 -1/2 feet long and the Gardner is approx. 1 foot long. I have them in the aquarium right now but nothings happening...Should i be worried when i leave that when my Python detects another snake in his territory they will go at it, or will they get along? Who wood win a fight? I wood prefer to keep the Gardner as another pet in his cage and hope they become good friends and possibly make weird babies.. What do you think?
