What is the best way to hunt coyote with a 30-06?

I have a new 30-06 zeroed in @ 100 yds and a new Buck Gardner rabbit distress call and I would like to get a coyote. I understand that it isn't the optimal gun for this animal so please don't try and convince me to use a different gun. i have a place in mind in northern Michigan with a large opening way out in the middle of the woods that is approximatley 150 yds x 100 yds. I want to know what the best technique will be for me to bring in the coyote and where the best place for me to perch up is (do I want to be under some cover in the center of the field or get on the edge of the woods line. Any other advice would be great, I have just begun to hunt coyotes.
