Suddenly, we need a ginormous number of newspapers to lay down on sod for our lasagna style garden & pathways?

Call a local newspaper and ask if you can have whatever they don't sell, or find out who their distributor is and ask them for any leftovers. Or hang around the recycle drop-off and beg for newspapers from people dropping them off.
